Check it out!

As a "Halloween treat," Drive-Thru RPG has the new World of Darkness rulebook as a FREE download!

Whatever you think of the "new WoD," the price is certainly right! :)

(Thanks to legolad for the following info)
You'll need to set up an account at Drive-Thru RPG and have Acrobat Reader 7+ installed, but after that you should be able to download it.

Kick ass!

I've been meaning to ask you (before I start searching around), is there a play by LJ Wraith game abouts?

None I've heard of, sorry.

Have you tried rpg_promo, rpg_connect, pnp_rpgs, or any of the other RPG ad communities on LJ?

I used to run Wraith, but it turned out to be more like prolonged psychological torture of my players than a "game". Go figure.

Like Changeling, Wraith really takes quality players that really know the genre.

Oh, don't get me wrong, my players were just fine. It was just the dubious enjoyment factor of playing out the slow self-destruction of a soul. Some people, such as I, love that stuff. Most people don't really get off on it.

A little too much like real life for some people, maybe.

Well, the fact that I'm an utter and complete bastard might have had something to do with it, too. ;)

Coolness! :) Well, that's well and truly been added to my list of e-books pulled from Drive-Thru RPG. The nice thing is this one isn't a scan of an old book, it's based on the digital version they went to press with. Nice and clear!

Aggravating considering the fact that I paid real money for a paper copy and would probably have prefered just to have the PDF, but wasn't really willing to pay real money for just the PDF. Had I waited 4 months, I'd have been set.

Lame. But cool.

Is it just my crappy version of Acrobat or are there no freakin' pictures on the free download???

I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0.5 under Windows XP SP2, and the manual is chock full of pictures. Depending on the amount of RAM you have, the speed of your hard drive and the speed of your processor, it could take it a while load and render all the graphics in the PDF.
