Practicing for my Reader's Advisory class.
An entertaining mystery set in 1564: The Queen's Christmas by Karen Harper. Might give you some ideas for plots and the setting, even if it's a bit after Henry VIII's time.

Don't forget M. Lackey's novel series about how the sidhe helped shape the political atmosphere of England: This Scepter'd Isle and Ill Met by Moonlight (which is closer to the year you want to set the game in).

*chuckles* The Lackey books are part of what gave me the idea in the first place. Well, them and Marvel 1602. Plus all the books I have on the era of Henry VIII. :)
