No-shows make the GM crazy

OK, I'm coming up on the third session of my Face-to-Face game, and there are two players who haven't shown up yet. I'm sorry, guys, but every session you don't show up, it gets harder to work your characters into the game.

I don't think people realize how much work it can be to get characters involved in an already-ongoing plot. I mean, with the sort of game I run, I can't just drop a character in, because each session adds more backstory that has to be recapped before they can understand what's going on. *sigh*

Hopefully they'll show this week. or if they don't, maybe they won't show at all and I can get on with the story without having to worry about how I'm going to fit their characters in....

Off to do something other than rant....
