Blade: Trinity

Went out to see Blade: Trinity with lostsatyr this afternoon. 'Twas great fun. Ryan Reynolds (Hannibal King) was TEH HAWTNESS. And Jessica Biel (Abigail Whistler) wasn't bad, either. And then there were all the nifty toys the characters had - makes me want to run a game with vampire hunters, just so I can steal...erm, borrow some of the hardware from the movie.

King had some of the best lines in the film. "Just under the Hello Kitty tattoo..." had me and lostsatyr laughing hysterically. And then there was the, "You made a f*cking vampire Pomeranian?" line. *giggles*

"...[Have] you seen my dog?"
"Did you try the lobby?"
(Jarko Grimwood and Hannibal King, after King sent Grimwood's vampire Pomeranian out an upstairs window)

One of the vampire chicks was a hottie, too. I was kinda sorry to see her get offed at the vampire food bank. And then there was the cute Goth chick....

I think this is another one to go on the, "Want the DVD when it comes out," list. Then I can have fun freeze-framing the shots of Reynolds without his shirt on and Biel in those tight leather pants. Yumminess....

The two of them worked well together on screen, I thought.

Now that you mention it, I agree.

But I think Ryan was hotter :-)

I used to watch some pro wrestling when I was in high school and I've got a friend who's into it too. But I don't watch too much of anything that's not on dvd these days.

I did notcice some wrestling moves incorporated into the fight scene though. Didn't know the big guy was a wrestler at the start of the movie, but I did figure it out after that scene. ;-)

Differneces in taste 'tis cool though - thegamemistress and I rarely agree on who's the hottest guy in something. This was one of those rare exceptions :-)

I really liked it as a Nightstalkers movie, but not so much as a Blade movie, if that makes sense.

I read Nightstalkers and loved it... I used to RP Hannibal King in an online game, as well. (The hard-nosed PI version, not the whiny Goth version.) I always liked Hannibal. :)

I have a special place in my heart for Mr. King, too -- when my sister informed me he was going to be in it, I remember thinking, "Yes!" and explaining to lostsatyr, "Hannibal King - the good-guy vampire...predating Nick Knight and Angel by decades!"

He was the main reason I bought Nightstalkers. And I still have the issues of Dr. Strange where he, Blade and Frank Drake (Dracula's vampire-hunting descendant, for those not in the know) helped the Doc take out Dracula (Volume 1, number 62, for all you comic geeks).

I wonder if we'll ever see Rachel Van Helsing show up someday - as creativedv8tion will attest, I've a thing for ladies with crossbows....;-)

If they use Jessica and Ryan, I'm sold!

I'm sure I'll end up seeing it no matter what - thegamemistress will want to go :-)
