I'm such a geek.

I'm depressed over the outcome of a gaming convention.

In previous years, I've had a lot of fun at UBCon (and no, that's not rose-colored glasses - I went archive diving just to make sure). This year, except for a few bright spots, I left the con feeling more stressed than when I had arrived.

Why? A number of reasons, chief among them bad planning and laziness on the part of the club's officer corps. If the current president tries to run for office again, I certainly hope the club members remember this fiasco and know better than to vote for him again.

I've wanted to recommend UBCon to my out-of-town friends, but this year has made it very, very hard. It's a shame, really, because I have many fond memories of it, and I'd like to be able to make new ones with people like willowriversong. I still think she'd enjoy playing in my & lostsatyr's con events.

Here's hoping that the con makes its way back up next year...it's hard to get any lower, right? Right? *looks about hopefully*
