Third try's the charm

...or so I hope.

Since playing strictly NPCs and making up a medium PC for lostsatyr's WitchCraft game were both kind of a bust, I've made up a new character, a Rosicrucian grad student.

Here's hoping she clicks with the group.

Man. Remember when you posted about having problems, suffering burn-out, and stuff?

How many games have you run/played in that feature schools prominently? Because practically every game you post about features schools.

You really have to leave the "school" thing behind. Really really.

But that is just my two cents.

Well, given that the PCs are working for a college professor in lostsatyr's game, it seemed like a good idea. And the hubby was happy, because the concept would be an easy one to fit in.

Given his penchant for running fights, however, I'm having second thoughts about this gal myself. She's a whiz when it comes to the intellectual stuff, but her physical traits are average at best.

Maybe I'll give the more combative PC I've an idea for a shot after all....

Join the club!

My Gifted Wicce PC has not so good physical stats. One gun shot or one blow from Pham would kill my character. I just try to stay away from battle and throw lots of magic in. Oh, and have lots of shields!

Maybe you can try both PCs as consultants and see which one works out better. It's a thought.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hm. Looking at this PC, all she is, is "Research Girl." Given the amount of fights the hubby runs, she'd be pretty damn useless, as she has almost nothing in the way of combat skills, and by the time I was able to get a magical effect off, I suspect things would be pretty much over with.

And I've had quite enough of just sitting around at the WitchCraft game already.

Sorry...I'm a little frustrated with that game right now - especially after the last session.

Well you could just swap out some invocations for shield and combat ones. The Soulfire/Elemental Fire/Shield combo seemed to work for Jacob's character pretty well a few sessions back. I'm sure that with the extra source books there has to be some invocations that combine combat and non-combat uses, maybe the other elementals or something similar can provide a that punch for you.
