Yay for PDFs!

So, yesterday, I went to OfficeMax and got the Ebook version of Werewolf: The Apocalypse I got last week printed and spiral bound.

Now I can spare the binding on my hardcover and still have a tangible book to take back and forth to gaming! The spiral binding should help when looking stuff up, and this version is a bit lighter, too.

Pardon my ignorance, but they can do that at Officemax? No questions asked? And how much? o.o Interested parties want to know!

I bought the Ebooks for Kithbooks: Trolls and Satyr but I can't read them cause it hurts my eyes to read on a computer screen for too long. :/

From rpg.drivethrustuff.com's FAQ

"As long as the eBook in question allows you to print from it, then you may print it at a printing store. Depending on the format, it may be necessary that you activate a computer in the print store with your DRM account information."

As long as you're not asking them to mass produce it, most printing places don't mind printing it out. After all, you purchased the material, you're just having someone transfer it to a different media.

What justric and ramius_rathorne said.

They didn't ask me any questions at OfficeMax. Of course, I did tell them upfront that it was an Ebook I'd purchased online, and I only wanted one copy.

It cost me something like $27.00 and change to get the PDF printed with color covers on cardstock, black and white pages (double-sided), and a spiral binding. The biggest bother was waiting for everything to get done (though I did get it the same day).

Of the places I researched over the phone, OfficeMax had the best prices. Office Depot was a bit more, but still in the same range.

A word of warning - you probably don't want to go to FedEx Kinko's. The person I talked to there told me it'd cost $50.00(!) to print the book, along with another $10.00 or thereabouts to get it bound. No, thank you - for that much, I could replace my hardcover copy of WtA Revised, and then some!
