Decisions, decisions

Since I've pretty much got nothing as far as one-shot games go, and the con is in April, I'm thinking about just going to UBCon as an artisan this year.

I figure that I can always wait, and try to come up with a bang-up event for Queen City Conquest II, come August.

Anyone planning to attend either (or both) care to opine?

As much as I'd like to play in one of your games at UBCon, better to not run than force it. The point's to have fun.

Much as I'd like to have you visit earlier, you could always come play in my games at Queen City Conquest instead of at UBCon. :) C, R and I had a fantastic time at QCC last year; I think you'd enjoy yourself, too.

From what he's said to me and C, R's considering going to UBCon as an artisan and saving his GMing energy for QCC, as well. We're hoping to get tables next to each other in the Artist's Alley this year. :)

I may still make it to UBCon. We'll see.

I probably won't be going to UBCon after all. Turns out, my Special Olympics Track and Field team has a competition on UBCon Sunday. Normally I'd skip it, but the other competition was cancelled due to damage to the other facility from Superstorm Sandy.

I don't know if your schedule will allow it, but if it does, could you consider coming in for QCC II as an alternative?

If you /can/ make it, C and I would be happy to have you stay with us. :)

I will certainly consider it, but I need to get working first. :)

You know, there's nothing wrong with taking a con to relax, enjoy (as much as is possible at UB Con), play in other people's games, or try life as an artisan. Or maybe focus on something like panels instead of GMing. Why not? Sounds like it might renew your interest in the con, and save important energy for Queen City. :)

Nothing wrong with taking a year off. It'll help keep you from falling into a rut.

Spend the time working your vendor table or playing new systems with new GMs. Use Con to put some gas into your tank instead of having it be a source of stress.
