Giving up on the no-shows

I think I'm about ready to give up on S. The last time I saw him was when we went to dinner to discuss making his character. Since then, I haven't heard a peep out of him. He doesn't show up for the game, doesn't answer my e-mails, doesn't answer phone calls -- you get the picture.

And you know something? I don't give a crap. It's not like he would have contributed anything to the game, really, looking back on it. Of course, maybe I can borrow parts of his character concept for a Lunatic (if you don't get the reference, see Valkenburg Foundation for WtA, available as part of Werewolf Chronicles Volume 1)...waste not, want not. *giggles*

With the current crop of players (three, well, four if you count the hubby), I've got a viable game. And I think I like J better than S anyways. :-) OK, so T has the only Garou, but maybe the SO and I can make up some NPCs to fill out a pack for Startup. That might work.

I feel kinda bad for kitran, but there's no way I'm going to ask lostsatyr to drive an hour round-trip (both ways) just to pick him up so he can play in the game. lostsatyr is right; it's not so bad picking him up, but taking him home is a bitch, especially when you consider that my games go until like 10 or 11 sometimes and by then he's falling asleep (which is one of the benefits of playing at our house. So, sorry, S, but we're definitely not interested in moving the game...:-). And I wouldn't ask anyone else to go that much out of their way either, unfortunately. So it looks like I lose two players, but at least I've gained one. Hey, 50% isn't too bad. ;-)

So I'm going to go ahead with who I have, though I'll prolly tack up a sign or two around and see who bites. Given the crappy players I've gotten that way before, though, I'm not gonna hold my breath....

Guess I'll have to use those props I made up another day. Ah, well, no great loss.

Off to clean up and wait for the window guy....

Thanks - yes taking him back would have been bad - and more so the trip back.

And see, I do read what you write...
