I like about a third to a half of them. Of course, a lot of it is nostalgia, but so is most matters of taste. I know very few people that judge art based solely on artistic merit, originality, or technical skill. It is all about memory associations and already established tastes.

I mentioned this in my journal already, but figured it was worth repeating here. This list seems more to be a list of songs that were played to death on the radio/MTV/MuchMusic. I know there were several songs that I used to hate, simply because they were overplayed, but now I quite like them. One of which is "Don't Worry, Be Happy", and since which I've gained more appreciation for Bobby McFerrin's works (case in point: his collaberation with Yo Yo Ma on "Hush").
